OnePlus 2 is one of the most awaited flagships of this year. it will arrive to succeed the OnePlus One flagship that was released in April 2014.
OnePlus 2 Release Date
The OnePlus 2 release date is still under the wraps. However, during a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) session, Carl Pei, the co-founder of the Chinese company, claims that the flagship smartphone will be released in the third quarter of this year.
He also added that the OnePlus 2 will be a competitive smartphone that will pit well against the likes of the Galaxy S6, the HTC One M9 and the upcoming iPhone. The successor for OnePlus One is expected to get unveiled by July, My Drivers reported.
OnePlus 2 Pricing
Previously it was known that OnePlus 2 will carry a price tag of around $400. However, new reports revealed that the base model of the handset will be available for 1,999 yuan in China that equates to $322.
It means that the OnePlus 2 will be costlier than the predecessor model. The Chinese manufacturer has permanently slashed the price of the older device.
OnePlus One with 16 GB and 64 GB storage options are now available for $249 and $299, respectively. The newer model is expected to be available in two inbuilt storage variants that will carry different price tags.
OnePlus 2 Features
OnePlus 2 features have not been officially declared by its manufacturer. However, the rumor mill indicates that the smartphone will arrive 5.5-inch full HD display. It will be powered by Snapdragon 810 chipset that will be complemented by 3 GB of RAM.
The OnePlus 2 handset will come preloaded with OxygenOS flavored Android Lollipop OS. It will house a rear camera of 13 MP. It will be equipped with a larger battery of 3,300 mAh capacity. As of this writing, there is no confirmation from the manufacturer on the pricing and exact OnePlus 2 release date.
