Stephen Curry led the Golden State Warriors to a ripping 104-91 Game 5 win over LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers to take control of the 2015 NBA Finals, 3-2, at the Oracle Arena in Oakland on Sunday.

Curry, the reigning league MVP, unleashed 37 points, seven rebounds, and four assists to show that he is still the number one player in the Warriors' roster. Forward Andre Iguodala evened Curry with 22 points during their 103-82 blowout win in Game 4 and was deemed by the fans and the media to be the key to Golden State's current uprising.

But Curry won't have any of that. He showed everyone in the building, and all the people around the world watching this series, that he is ready to take the MVP of these Finals as well.

Meanwhile, James got his second triple-double of this series by amassing 40 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists, as per ESPN. But his effort was not enough as no one among his teammates backed him up in this contest.

The Warriors continued their dominance of the Cavs since the fourth quarter of Game 3 when Curry seemed to have suddenly woken up from a deep sleep.

Game 5 revealed that no matter how good LeBron plays, the Cavs are going nowhere if he can't have sufficient support from his teammates. J.R. Smith somehow streaked in the opening period but went back to his old inconsistent self the rest of the way to finish with 14 points, all in the first half as reported by CBS Sports, on 4-of-14 three-point shooting.

James and Tristan Thompson managed to keep the game close until the first seven minutes of the fourth period, 85-84, but Green sank a free throw and Iguodala buried a three and a layup to bring it back up to 91-84.

From then on it was all Curry as Golden State ran away with the pivotal victory.

The Warriors can close the series out on Tuesday night as it moves to Cleveland for Game 6 at 9 p.m. E.T.
