Rachel Dolezal, 37, has resigned as a Spokane NAACP official through a lengthy letter that does not provide clear details about her race and ethnicity. Even before her resignation, a movie about Dolezal's life is said to be inevitable. Here are top five actresses best suited to play the NAACP official:

5. Amy Schumer, 34

Schumer does not have a long resume as an actress. In fact, she will have her first lead role in a movie in "Trainwreck," which will be released on July 17. It will be interesting then to see the comedienne of a Jewish descent to play a serious role in a biopic.

4. Alicia Silverstone, 38

Set to star in the comedy "Who Gets The Dog?" opposite Ryan Kwanten and Randall Batinkoff, Silverstone resembles Dolezal. While she both has a Golden Globes nomination and a Razzie award, the actress of British and Jewish descent is likely to pull off a Dolezal biopic title role.

3. Kate Hudson, 36

Currently filming "Deepwater Horizon" with Mark Wahlberg and Dylan O'Brien, Hudson is another great pick for a Dolezal role. Like Silverstone, Hudson resembles Dolezal. Her edge is that she has an Academy Award nomination for her 2001 film "Almost Famous." She is of Hungarian Jewish, English and German descent.

2. Lindsay Lohan, 28

Like Silverstone and Hudson, Lohan look like Dolezal but a younger version. She may be too young to play Dolezal so she can either play a younger Dolezal or be transformed into an older character to match Dolezal's age when she resigned as an NAACP official. Unlike Schumer, Silverstone and Hudson, Lohas has no Jewish background. She is of Irish and Italian descent.

1. Wanda Sykes, 51

Sykes looks like Dolezal, particularly the Africanized version of the Caucasian NAACP official. The Emmy award-winning African American comedienne may be more than a decade older than Dolezal. But if Dolezal managed to disguise herself as black for years, any makeup team can definitely transform Sykes into a 37-year-old Caucasian pretending to be black in a biopic.
