According to reports, Chinese mobile manufacturer Xiaomi would release four new Mi smartphones in the upcoming months, including Redmi Note 2. Now the Redmi Note 2 has been spotted on a certification agency website, suggesting that its launch is coming soon.

Previously, it was rumored that the device would be launched in January, International Business Times reported. However, this did not happen and instead Xiaomi released a premium MI Note and MI Note Pro series smartphone with large display screens.

A Chinese website has listed an unnamed Xiaomi device, expected to be Redmi Note 2, with the code-number 2015501 passing 3C certificate with 4G-LTE connectivity. The specifications listed on the website shows the Redmi Note 2 featuring 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1920x720pixels.

Also, the smartphone is powered by a 64-bit class Mediatek MT6795 SoC and runs on Android Lollipop (v5.0.2 or v5.1). The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 has a 5MP front -facing shooter and 13MP rear-facing camera. It boasts a 3,000mAh battery.

Rumours are doing the rounds that the Redmi Note 2 will be released in June or July along with its larger and more powerful variant, the Redmi Note 2 Pro.

Reports suggest that the Redmi Note 2 Pro is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6795 processor and sports a full-HD display. It is expected that the device will have a 5-megapixel front -facing camera and a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera.

According to Phone Arena report, Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, has announced that a new Xiaomi Note device will be launched on June 29th. The report added that maybe it is the Redmi Note 2 that will see the light of the day on June 29th.
