Justin Bieber and Usher are being charged with a $10 million lawsuit for allegedly copying parts of "Somebody to Love" from two songwriters from Virginia.
According to Reuters, the 2013 case filed by R&B singer Devin Copeland or De Rico and Mareio Overton was recently revived after the two said their case should not have been overthrown by a lower court judge.
The musical partners said Bieber and Usher's "Somebody to Love" track copied the same chords and lyrics of their song with the same title.
Circuit Judge Pamela Harris released a statement confirming that both songs were similar enough after she listened to them in full.
Meanwhile, the plaintiff also said that they made Usher listen to their song in 2008 and he liked it. After which, the latter reportedly brought the song to Bieber and the two collaborated on "Somebody to Love." However, Copeland and Overton were not credited for their contribution.
The duo's song reportedly appeared on Copeland's 2008 album entitled "My Story II," TIME reported.
"Somebody to Love" was first released in 2010 and it peaked at number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. As of late, Bieber and Usher have not yet commented regarding their issue.
This is not the first time that Bieber has been charged with a lawsuit. There were previous reports that the "Baby" singer spit on the face of one of his neighbors. Another lawsuit was filed against Bieber for allegedly throwing eggs at a neighbor's window.
