“We regret to inform you that we are not able to release the Batmobile Collector’s Edition of ‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ due to unforeseen circumstances that greatly compromised the quality of this extremely limited run of product,” Warner Bros said in a statement, in the community forums.

The “Batman: Arkham Knight” Batmobile Edition will pack an 80-page art book, limited edition DC comic, steel book case, three New 52 skins and the transformable Batmobile, along the game title.

The problem is reportedly in the last item - Batman toy, developed by Project Triforce, Kotaku reported, quoting the official statement of cancelation.

Customers who pre-ordered the “Batman: Arkham Knight” Batmobile Collector’s Edition, are having their money refunded or their order is being substituted with a new order for the Standard Edition or the Serious Edition.

Warner Bros are providing the customers with the New 52 skin pack, including Batman, Robin and Nightwing, for free, as a token of apology for the inconvenience.

Amazon, in its email, has also apologized for the disappointment and is giving out a $20 promotional credit for every customer who got their pre-order for the Batmobile Collector’s Edition cancelled. The promotional credit will expire on Sep. 30.

The much-awaited “Batman: Arkham Knight” release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, will happen on June 23.
