When will "Da Vinci's Demons" return?

"Da Vinci's Demons" Season 3 is "coming this year," the show's Twitter account announced to fans who have been asking for a release date for months now. The finale of the second season aired more than a year ago, specifically May 31 on Starz.

"In weekly 'Sorry I don't know when season 3 airs but it's good' news, sorry I don't know when season 3 airs but it's good," Tom Riley tweeted earlier this month. His character has just seen his mother for the first time, and the viewers could hardly wait to find out what happens next.

In the Season 2 finale of "Da Vinci's Demons," the Ottoman Empire is all set to attack Florence. Leo is all set to fire some mean cannons, but he gets distracted when his father reveals that his mother is on board the enemy's fleet.

"Stay tuned for updates on the season 3 premiere date," reads Da Vinci's Starz Twitter announcement. The show also retweeted Riley's tweet on his own weekly apology to fans.

Without official word from Starz on the release of "Da Vinci's Demons" Season 3, fans are getting even more exasperated. Expletives from the series audience have already made their way into the show's Facebook page, which has not been updated in over two weeks' time.
