The tech giant Google needs to upgrade two features of the Nexus 5 (2013) in a major way.

It is believed that the Google Nexus 5 (2015) will be released in October or November. According to reports, the tech giant will release two smartphones this year. One of the devices will be manufactured by LG and the other by Chinese company Huawei.

While the new Nexus 5 (2015) will come with a number of feature upgrades over its predecessor, the Nexus 5 (2013) owners will want considerable improvement in memory and battery above all other specifications.

The Nexus 5 (2013) smartphone sports a 4.96-inch screen with True HD IPS+ capacitive touchscreen and 1080 x 1920 pixels. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, iDigitalTimes reported. It has an 8-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization.

The Nexus 5 (2013) has a non-removable Li-Po 2300 mAh battery that gets used up fast. Reports suggest that the Google Nexus 5 (2015) may come with a 2700 mAh battery; however, that will not be sufficient. At least a 3000 mAh battery is needed.

The other disappointing feature of the Nexus 5 (2013) is its internal storage. Most smartphone owners require more than 16/32 GB memory and lack of microSD card slot does not help either. The forthcoming device may come packed with a 64 GB version; however, some owners may still hope more. Therefore, introducing microSD card slot is a good option.

According to Concept Phones, the new Nexus 5 (2015) packs Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM and 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED screen display.  Furthermore, it will run on Android M, Google's forthcoming operating system. The phone shows off 13 MP front-facing camera, 4,000 mAh removable battery, heart rate sensor and USB Type C port.
