Nothing official has been announced about Samsung Galaxy Note 5; however, almost all the major features and specifications have been leaked. Recent reports suggest that the phablet could come with unique features that are not seen in the Galaxy Note 4 and other Note devices so far.

The South-Korean-based Samsung could launch Galaxy Note 5 before iPhone 6 comes, according to reports. It was previously reported that the phablet could see the light of day at the forthcoming IFA 2015 event in Berlin in September.

The U.S. Patent & Trademark Office has published Samsung's patent application relating to its Galaxy Note having an automatically ejectable input touch pen system. The touch pen could stay locked into the device and only released until the user gives a gesture or voice command.

Samsung said that since it is possible to automatically eject the touch pen with a simple command or manipulation, it is easy and simple to manipulate the device with one hand. The company further said that since a separate locking device for confining the pen is not required, it is possible to improve the usage convenience of the device, Patently Mobile reported.

According to another patent filing of Samsung with the Korean Intellectual Property Office, the company's forthcoming Note device could be foldable, Ecumenical News reported. Samsung has applied for foldable tablet patent featuring two seams as well as a flexible screen that can be folded into three segments.

It is believed that the company Samsung will launch two Note variants - the Galaxy Note 5 Edge codenamed Project Zero 2 with dual-edge curved screen and the Galaxy Note 5 codenamed Project Noble with flat display.
