The Motorola Moto G 3rd Gen has not been officially announced yet, but the rumored specifications of the third generation model of Moto G are making rounds on tech sites.

The details of the Moto G (2015) was first revealed by Flipkart, an online retailer from India.Then, unofficial Moto G (2015) photos surfaced along with its purported specifications. Fresh reports indicate that the new Moto G comes with upgraded features over last year's model. Here is a comparison of the purported features of the Moto G (2015) with Moto G (2014):

Display

The Moto G (2015) will be featuring a 4.97-inch display that supports HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, reveals a YouTube video of the prototype model of the device. It produces a pixel density of 320 ppi. The predecessor came with a 5-inch display with HD resolution support that delivers a pixel count of 294 ppi.

Processor, RAM And Storage

The Moto G (2015) will be powered by the low-end Snapdragon 410 chipset along with 1 GB of RAM. The Moto G (2014) comes with Snapdragon 400 SoC onboard that is also supported by 1 GB of RAM.

The new model as well as last year's model comes with 8 GB of native storage. The details on the external microSD card storage on Moto G (2015) are not available yet.

Camera And Software

The recently leaked AnTuTu scores of the Moto G (2015) show that the biggest improvement on the device is the inclusion of a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera. On the other hand, Moto G 2nd Gen, there is an 8 MP rear camera and frontal camera of 2 MP.

The newer Moto G will come preloaded with Android 5.1.1. The older Moto G 2014 was releasedwith Android 4.4 KitKat. It is expected to receive Android 5.1 update.

The Moto G (2015) will come with support for LTE connectivity. Hence, Motorola will not be launching a HSPA only edition of the handset.

Phone Arena reported that the Moto G (2015) release date is expected to happen in the next month.
