Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only child of legendary singer Whitney Houston, has been moved to hospice care owing to her seriously deteriorating condition.

"Despite the great medical care at numerous facilities, Bobbi Kristina Brown's condition has continued to deteriorate," Bobbi Kristina's aunt Pat Houston told E! News in a statement. "As of today, she has been moved into hospice care."

Pat further said that the 22-year-old, who was found unresponsive in the bathtub of her Georgia home on Jan. 31, is in "God's hands now." Not much information has been released by the family other than the fact that she has suffered from irreversible brain damage and is unlikely to recover.

The movement of the celebrity child to hospice care does indicate that she cannot be revived anymore. It has been seen that patients are usually moved to hospice for specialized care when they are at the final stages of a terminal illness to ensure a comfortable and painless last few days of life.

It is still not yet clear how Bobbi Kristina ended up being drowned in the bathtub on that fateful evening, when she was accompanied by Nick Gordon, adopted son of the late singer and lover of the celebrity child, with whom she used to share her home after her mother's demise.

Just hours after Bobbi Kristina's family announced that she is being moved to hospice care, a lawsuit has been filed against Gordon by her conservator, Bedelia Hargrove on June 24, Wednesday, Us Weekly reported. The lawsuit accuses the 25-year-old of dragging Whitney's daughter upstairs by her hair, withdrawing her funds without authorization, and hitting her, just hours before she was discovered face down, which eventually led to her present state.

Meanwhile, Georgia Police is still investigating the matter and has not yet announced the name of any suspect.
