With "Nurse Jackie" season 7 episode 12 titled "I Say A Little Prayer" airing on June 28, Sunday, and Edie Falco, who plays the title role Jackie Peyton in the Showtime medical dark satirical comedy-drama series, has revealed she has not watched the finale episode yet.

"I get kind of weird about that stuff," Falco said in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. "I still haven't seen a lot of 'The Sopranos' at this point.  But I did (watch) 'The Sopranos' finale with friends. I burst into tears and couldn't stop, and completely fell apart."

"You just think, 'It's the last time we're doing this!' This just feels the like the end to me. I'm funny about this stuff," said the actress who played Carmela Soprano on the HBO series "The Sopranos" from 1999 to 2007 before playing the title character of the Showtime series "Nurse Jackie" since 2009.

When asked about how difficult it was to do a comedy focused on drug addiction, which is a serious topic, Falco revealed that the first version was titled "Nurse Mona," which  was "really, really dark" and there was nothing funny about it.

"I responded to it immediately!" Falco said adding that the comedy came in when Showtime was looking for a comedy and "Nurse Jackie" co-creators Liz Brixius and Linda Wallem got a hold of it.

According to Falco, Brixius and Wallem infused comedy into the "Nurse Jackie" script and they tonally ended up with "this unusual piece." She said she did not know what it would be like for an audience to watch.

Falco also said it was crazy having got to make out with Billie Joe Armstrong in "Nurse Jackie." She said, "With Billie Joe, I didn't know much about Green Day or him, but added intimidation does nobody any good. So as far as I was concerned, he was just a guy."

In another interview with Variety, Falco said would like to put something positive out there as she has had people who have inspired her in real life and she would love to do a show about somebody who can "inspire people to a higher way of living."
