After enjoying significant success in the 3DS platform, the Pokémon Company announces that the "Pokémon Shuffle" video game will be release for the Android and iOS platform.

According to Game Spot, the mobile version of "Pokémon Shuffle" will be release before the end of 2015. The game will be released as a free-to-play title with support for microtransactions, just like its 3DS version.

"Pokémon Shuffle" was released for the 3DS in January. Since its release on the 3DS, the game has been downloaded 4.5 million times, according to PC Magazine. It is a puzzle game that closely resembles the gameplay mechanics of "Bejeweled" and "Candy Crush." However, instead of gems and candies, it features popular "Pokémon" characters.

In order to finish the game, players are tasked to line up three similar character faces in a row in order for them to disappear. The game allows players to create chain combos in order to inflict more damage to their opponents.

The Pokémon Company has already released several games on the mobile platform. Some of its highly successful apps include Pokémon TCG Online, Camp Pokémon, Pokedex and Pokémon TV. While most of the company's apps and mobile games are exclusive on the Nintendo eSHop, the release on Android and iOS will broaden that company's market and help its overall sales output.

Aside from "Pokémon Shuffle," Pokémon Company released an official gameplay trailer. In its description, it explained that the goal is "to clear various stages by lining up the same Pokémon and clearing theses matches from the puzzle area." Watch the trailer here:
