Iggy Azalea first dissed Britney Spears on social media blaming the singer for the failure of their duet "Pretty Girls." In a new twist to the story, the Australian rapper now blames the media for creating the "beef" between her and Spears.

Azalea tweeted that she is "saddened that the media has allegedly created a "beef" between the singers. The rapper also said that she and Spears are still friends and that she has not said anything antagonistic about the songstress.

"Does wishing we had promoted a single more make me the bad guy?" tweeted Azalea.

The rapper is referring to her earlier tweet wherein she blamed Spears for not promoting the song, "Pretty Girls." She put the entire blame on Spears saying she herself was "just featured" in the song while Spears remained mum on extra promotions of the song on television and other media channels.

The "Fancy" singer also believed that the media "wants women in music to get out and mud wrestle each other." The Aussie beauty expressed her disappointment that women are not able to have a "grown up and subjective opinion". She further called Spears as her "friend" and said she supports the singer wholeheartedly. Azalea also added that neither she nor Spears has any negative feeling towards each other.

Spears earlier wrote on Twitter that she was glad to get back to her performance in Las Vegas where she was booked for the rest of the year. The "Oops...I Did It Again" threw a shade to Azalea who recently canceled her "Great Escape" tour as it was not selling well, according to Billboard.
