Someone apparently is making money out of the misery of 22-year-old Bobbi Kristina Brown's medical condition. ETOnline confirmed on Friday that it was approached and shown photos of the comatose daughter of deceased singer Whitney Houston taken in her room at the Peachtree Christian Hospice.
However, while the attempt to earn from the tragedy angered the Browns, the family has yet to boost security to prevent a repeat of the incident. But the entertainment website reports that the family plans to tent the hospice's entry point to protect them from both onlookers and opportunists.
Since Bobbi, who was found unconscious on January 31, was transferred to Peachtree in mid-June, there is no change in her medical condition. The diva's husband, Bobby Brown, as well as other friends are keeping Bobbi company through bedside vigils.
People reports that among those who recently visited Bobbi were Pat Houston, her aunt, and Ray Watson, her mother's former bodyguard, also the title of Houston's hit movie.
The selling of the stolen shots led Leolah Brown, aunt of Bobbi, to dare people who went near her niece to undergo a lie detector test so the culprit could be caught. She warned in Facebook: "You took that picture thinking you gon get some money for it ... and that's gon be it! ... I myself if no one else does-see to it that - YOU be revealed!!!!!"
Bobbi, like Whitney, was found unconscious in a bathtub. EOnline reveals that three weeks before the incident, Bobbi called Alex Reid, one of her best friends, to seek solace. Bobbi was crying and distraught because her live-in boyfriend, Nick Gordon, allegedly hit her and she was so scared that Bobbi hid inside Whitney's closet.
Alex disclosed that Bobbi told her of being physically abused several times by Nick, although she admits not having personally seen the abuse. But Bobbi showed her a bruise. She said there were at least four times when Nick hit Bobbi. He even tried to choke Bobbi once.
However, few people knew of the abuse. Alex explains, "She didn't feel comfortable confiding in her family because she loved him and she didn't want them turning against him, more than they already had. She loved him and was loyal to him despite the abuse."
