Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced that the social network's users will soon have the option to send "full rich thoughts" that will become a shared experience with friends. Although it seems like something from a science fiction movie, Zuckerberg explained that thought and emotion sharing would be the next step after the eras of sharing text messages, emoji symbols, video clips and virtual realities (VRs) in the Information Age.

The Facebook founder explained that the tech giant wants to improve a few critical trends in human communication. One way is to share in richer ways.

Zuckerberg explained that while photo sharing is the main method of data exchange, it will be replaced by ways that provide more sensory and emotional experiences. Video sharing will take center stage next.

Facebook's chief executive also noted another key trend in interpersonal communication is that people can do it more frequently. In the past it was always in person.

Communication became easier with the invention of desktop and laptop computers. While they made staying in touch easier through e-mail and chat, the tools were big and bulky.

Now pocket-size mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets have made sending verbal and non-verbal messages even more convenient. However, users only check their gadgets from time to time.

Zuckerberg used his virtual crystal ball to predict that in the future devices such as Augmented Reality (AR) and HR headsets will allow for around-the-clock communication, according to Metro.  They will  improve the experience.

The Facebook CEO made a bold prediction. He believes that one day high-tech tools will allow people to share actual thoughts and emotions with netizens, making it the ultimate communication technology.

Zuckerberg noted that sharing information with friends, relatives, and others is a key communication tool that empowers people to make better decisions. It is a "major force" in today's world.

The tech company leader's comments were included on his Facebook profile. In the Q&A session he discussed the company's vision and future challenges that included the hot topics of Artificial Intelligence (AI), brain functioning, human immortality, and his workout schedule (three times weekly), according to Rapid News Network.
