Showtime's horror drama, "Penny Dreadful," is confirmed to return for season 3 in 2016. The trailer of the season 3 is out, along with other inside details.
The season 3 of the Brit-American series will only have nine episodes as compared to 10 episodes of the recently commenced season. The filming of the same will soon start in Dublin and the next season is likely to premiere in the summer of 2016, HW Hills reported.
As seen in the finale of season 2, all the major characters of the show, including Malcolm played Timothy Dalton, Werewolf Ethan played by Josh Hartnet, Vanessa played by Eva Green and The Creature, played by Rorry Kinnear, have parted ways and headed off in different directions.
Show creator John Logan, however, feels that such an ending has given a fresh palette to start the next season. Logan told The Hollywood Reporter that Season 3 will provide a change in the scenery since the major characters are splattered all over the globe, the show will have to go beyond the dark and dingy lanes of London and "see a bit more of the world."
It clearly indicates that despite the speculations, all the characters will be back for the next season as all of them will be pulled back, owing to supernatural forces and destiny.
The season 3 will also see the rise of other characters, Dorian played by Reeve Carney and Lily, played by Billie Piper. The two will be shown venturing down the dark path to get immense power.
How will Malcolm, Ethan and Vanessa again bump into each other to be haunted by unseen forces? Will Vanessa restore her faith in God in next season? Will Dorian and Lily stand above in superiority? These and many more mysteries will be solved in the season 3 to be aired on Showtime. Check out the trailer below:
