The phablet features curved edges on its rear side that will help in providing comfortable grip to the user. It is uncertain whether the handset will feature a removable or non-removable glass rear panel like the Galaxy S6.

If the Galaxy Note 5 houses a non-removable rear, it is likely that it won't be featuring a microSD card slot or removable battery. However, the Note 5 is expected to come with high speed UFS 2.0 flash storage.

The Galaxy Note 5 renders clearly show a compartment at the bottom edge for the S-Pen stylus. Since there is no place around the stylus compartment to pull it out by using fingers, speculations claim that Samsung may introduce auto-ejection feature for the stylus

Rumors are rife that the traditional microUSB slot is expected to get replaced by USB-Type C on the upcoming phablet. However, renders show the presence of microUSB slot on the device.

As far as the dimensions of the handset are concerned, it measures 153.4 x 77.3 x 10.2 mm. The 10.2 mm thickness also accounts the protruding camera. Without the camera hump, the thickness of the device would be around 9 mm, GSM Arena reported.

The release of the Galaxy Note 5 has become all the more imminent as Samsung has launched a new discount on the Galaxy Note 4. Customers who purchase the Galaxy Note 4 before July 26 at 11:59 PM with its full retail price, Samsung will provide a rebate of $200. The offer is only available for T-Mobile and AT&T customers in the United States.

Industry experts are predicting that by offering the Note 4 at discounted price, Samsung is try to finish its remaining stocks of the older phablet. The Galaxy Note 5 release date is expected to happen during the IFA 2015 tech trade show in Berlin that will be held in September.
