With "Star Trek" actor Chris Pine joining the DC Cinematic Universe, it has been reported that the actor is currently making his choice between two crucial roles.

Sources told Birth Movies Death that the 34-year-old actor is torn between Hal Jordan, also known as Green Lantern, and Steve Trevor, the love interest of Princess Diana of Themyscira. Though Pine has been offered with two big roles in DC's Cinematic Universe, the actor has not officially signed any of the two offers.

The sources are close to Pine and they have also revealed that the actor is more likely to grab the role of Hal Jordan or Green Lantern. Playing the role of the intergalactic police office also means that Pine will stand as the seventh member of the Justice League, along with Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg.

Meanwhile, Steve Trevor is known as Wonder Woman's love interest. Fans would be interested to see how Pine's character as Trevor would brew romance with the Amazonian warrior. The role was previously rumored to be played by the "The Longest Ride" actor Scott Eastwood, but such speculations were debunked.

Pine's current situation is interesting that the actor could be seen in two key characters in two separate films, as per Cinema Blend. It is suggested that there is rivalry between DC's films, which fans have not noted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Since Pine has not signed yet on any of the two offers, the actor can be next seen by fans in David Mackenzie's crime drama film "Comancheria," Craig Gillespie's drama thriller "The Finest Hours," and Justin Lin's action-adventure sci-fi film "Star Trek Beyond."

A solo "Green Lantern" film is slated to premiere on June 19, 2020. For now, two of the closest DC films to be released are Zach Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" on Mar. 25, 2016 and David Ayer's "Suicide Squad" on Aug. 5, 2016.
