Tournament contender Costa Rica will try to clinch their first win of the 2015 Gold Cup against a young and inexperienced El Salvador squad at the BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, July 11.

La Sele was stunned by Jamaica during their opener last Wednesday at the StubHub Center in Carson as Leyton Orient midfielder Jobi McAnuff struck a goal in the 48th minute to equalize the count, via Yahoo Sports.

Winfried Schäfer's Reggae Boyz held on to the draw until the final whistle, which made Group B a free-for-all as the four teams are now tied in the overall standings with 1 point apiece.

Meanwhile, La Selecta was also coming off an impressive scoreless draw with the Canadians in their match later that same day.

With no one in Albert Roca's lineup having more than 50 caps, the team is not expected to finish any close games in the Cup. But they did it immediately during their first match of the tourney, as per Sportsnet.

However, El Salvador is not expected to replicate that performance against the tough Costa Rican eleven. Paulo Wanchope's men are seemingly in the process of feeling out the Group B competition and may now be ready to flex their muscles.

Prediction: La Sele runs over La Selecta, 2-0. Costa Rica is one of the favorites to win this summer's tournament together with Mexico and the United States. Los Ticos will show why in this match versus a young El Salvador squad.
