There is a stiff competition between the big wireless carriers. The first two carriers on the spot, namely AT&T and Verizon, are trying to match T-Mobile USA's rapid growth. Recent analytics reported that T-Mobile indeed surpassed Sprint in terms of its total customers.

According to Dispatch Times, T-Mobile's management said that the overall ratio remained at around 1.8 for the quarter. This only means that the magenta network scores an 11 percent profit on a yearend compared to last year's data. The company also added 2.1 million new customers through the second quarter of the year.

In the recent analytics report, T-Mobile USA exceeded Sprint in terms of total customers during second quarter. This is the ninth consecutive quarter T-Mobile added more than one million total customers and the fourth consecutive quarter where more than 1 million customers have postpaid service.

Currently T-Mobile has a total of 58.9 network connections while Sprint has 57.1 million subscribers, but T-Mobile has not announced yet its full earnings but they released a chart of their customers' trends. Magenta network's branded postpaid earning usually comes from device financing plan with more than 1 million count. The growth was dominated by phone connections that are accounted for 760,000 additional income, mobile broadband devices which includes mobile hotspot and tablets with a total of 248,000 additional income. These made a total branded postpaid growth added 11 percent year after year, RCR Wireless.

The big three wireless rivals, AT&T, Verizon and Sprint have been trying to match T-Mobile's growth for the second quarter. Legere's strategy and aggressiveness is surely working to steal customers from its rivals and join the magenta network.
