Apple is all set to revamp its iPod range by imparting a new look to its music devices by adding new colors and 64-bit processor to the iPod touch.

According to Inferse, while some models of the iPod Touch will get fresh colors of pink and blue, it will get the golden color of the iPhone 6 which was quite a success with its users. Besides, the iPod Touch may also get an upgrade to 64-bit processor. Considering that Apple has not upgraded its iPod Touch since 2012, these are welcome changes to its long time model.

The current model of iPod Touch runs on A5 processor which is three levels behind compared to the A8 processor of iPhone 6. The 64-bit processor will provide users with a superior gaming experience with the help of the Apple Game Store.

Apple provides a three-month trial period on its Music Store, after which it charges monthly fee of $9.99. In the bid to contend its music streaming counterparts, like Pandora and Spotify, Apple will also add its Music Store to the iPod Shuffle and Nano.

Currently, only Apple Music features Taylor Swift's album "1989." Swift, a country music phenomenon, recently withdrew her album from Spotify, since they offer free music streaming services. She believes that offering free music robs the worthy musicians of their well-deserved livelihood.

It was Apple Insider that first disclosed the rumors of Apple launching the new range of iPod on July 14. It also reported that the colors will also be extended to the models of iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle, but no internal upgrades at this moment for these models.
