Sony has revealed that its entire Xperia Z Series will be getting an Android 5.1 Lollipop OS update this month keeping its users updated in terms of Android OS.

The Japanese tech giant has published a complete list of their devices that will run with the new Android Lollipop. Sony's blog post stated that among the handsets that will receive the latest Android OS are as follows: Xperia Z1, Z2 and Z3, Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia T2 Ultra, Xperia C3, Xperia M2, and Xperia M2 Aqua, from Android 4.4 Kitkat to Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Android 5.1 Lollipop gives a stability firmware, delivering enhancements to Android Run Time (ART) that allows the applications to load quickly. Among the additional improvements for the devices are accesses in Wi-Fi toggle selection in Quick Configurations, random application crashes of dialer system and texting applications, and a fix for the SMS problem, according to International Business Times.

Also, it can fix the memory leak issue that makes the applications crash all of the time, Venture Capital Post reported. Android 5.1 Lollipop fixes bugs and improves performance and stability for the devices.

In addition, the upgrade for Xperia Z line will get a repair on the "Okay Google" glitch, providing a quiet mode that is missing when the handsets received the Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Sony Xperia Z series is the high-end flagship Android smartphones and tablets of the Japanese tech giant. Xperia Z series first released during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in 2013. Sony's plan for OS upgrade of the Xperia Z line was announced November 2014.
