"American Horror Story" creator Ryan Murphy recently talked about the upcoming fifth season entitled "Hotel." He also dished on the returning characters and their involvement in the installment.

In an interview with E! News, Murphy confirmed that some of the characters featured in the past four seasons will return to star in "Hotel." The idea might seem confusing to fans because "American Horror Story" is known for the fact that their characters, once lost, no longer returns.

Murphy added that the characters, namely, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates and Sarah Paulson will all return to the FX series to check in to "Hotel." The series creator ured fans to not worry or overthink because the entire concept of "Hotel" will make sense later on in the season, according to Latin Post.

With this, fans are speculating that there is chance "Hotel" is a prequel to the first four installments. However, whether or not this is the case, they will still surely watch the hit show.

Meanwhile, Murphy also revealed other details about "Hotel" during Sunday's San Diego Comic Con panel discussion. According to him, some of the returning cast members will be considered "bad guys" or villains. Additionally, he revealed exciting details about "Born This Way" singer Lady Gaga.

According to Murphy, the singer will also play the role of a bad guy, which was her actual request. The former "Glee" creator also talked about the time when Lady Gaga approached him and asked if she could be part of the show.

"American Horror Story" season 5 "Hotel" will premiere on FX in the fall.
