‘Batman v Superman’ Star Jesse Eisenberg Talks About His Genocide Comment At Comic-Con

Jesse Eisenberg, who portrays the character of Lex Luthor in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," compared his experience at San Diego Comic-Con to a "genocide." He also commented that the fans at the convention screaming at him was "terrifying."

"I don't know what the experience is throughout history, probably some kind of genocide," Eisenberg said via The Hollywood Reporter. He added that he cannot think of anything that can be equivalent.

Later, he explained his comment during an interview while promoting the movie "The End of the Tour."

"Maybe on some cellular memory level, that's the only thing that seems like an equivalent social experience," Eisenberg explained in the interview.

"Even if they're saying nice things, just being shouted at by thousands of people, it's horrifying."

Eisenberg also talked to Associated Press in order to make things clear for the third time. He said that he used "hyperbole" to explain the "sensory overload" he had during the San Diego Comic-Con.

He explained that he is also a normal person with "normal sensory experiences." Eisenberg admitted that the entire experience at San Diego Comic-Con was overwhelming for him. He was startled by the response.

However, he also mentioned that it was an honor for him to receive such a response from people during the event.

The "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" star stated that he feels great to be a part of a project that is loved and much anticipated.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is expected to hit the theaters in March 2016.
