Jeffrey Lamar Williams also known as rapper Young Thug was arrested and jailed on Wednesday after a charge of terroristic threats was pressed against him.
Eight days prior to the young rapper's arrest, he was suspected to have posed a threat of shooting a security guard's face who worked at the Perimeter Mall. A US Marshal spokesman by the name of Jim Joyner stated that the rapper was caught under arrest inside a Sandy Springs residence on a Wednesday morning, approximately around 6 a.m., reports AJC.com.
The rapper was brought to the DeKalb County Jail where he is set to make his primary appearance along with attending his bond hearing. There was no other additional information revealed about the young artist's arrest, whether he had his own attorney or not.
Young Thug's warrant recalls the details of the incident which led to his eventual arrest. His alleged threat on the mall's security guard was supposedly triggered when the 23-year-old rapper was requested to leave the mall's building premises.
The dispute reportedly transpired on July 7 as confirmed by the Dunwoody Police Department with Officer Timothy Fecht as the official presenter of the case, added USA Today. There were reports written about the incident too that a witness saw the mall guard threatening the rapper and his entourage for sporting Hovertrax inside the shopping establishment.
The assumed eyewitness added that Thug came to his own defense when the guard reminded the rapper's group again to never use the two-wheeled skateboard inside the mall. The "Stoner" singer then posed a threat to sue the mall cops if they lay their hands on him, wrote the music website Complex.
The scenario led to Thug allegedly making a gesture as if he was lifting a gun from under his shirt. The source witness mentioned how Thug and his staff are frequent visitors of the mall and had no issues in the past, except for an unpaid valet service.
Young Thug posted a video about four weeks ago of himself together with his crew riding their Segway-styled Hovertrax over Instagram.
