“Final Fantasy 7 remake” was announced with a trailer “Play it first on PlayStation 4,” which was interpreted as a PS4 exclusive game. Later, Sony confirmed it that the game will be launched for other platforms also, and not just for PlayStation.

However, there was no official word about “Final Fantasy 7 remake” for Xbox One, till the listing from EB Game Australia. The retailer, in its response to a fan, has re-confirmed that the game was announced for both PS4 and Xbox One, with just early access for PlayStation users, PureXbox reported.

The “Final Fantasy 7 remake” will reportedly feature the same storyline, with very subtle changes. The developers are working on make the visuals appear closer to reality, and will make sure to not interfere with anything that makes the original title iconic.

“There are certain plot points we don’t want to interfere with or disturb, nor will we want to change elements that fans have very big attachments to,” said “Final Fantasy” Director Tetsuya Nomura, adding that there won’t be any new characters in the remake, Crossmap reported.

Initially, the upcoming remake game was expected to be released by 2017, but the EB Games Australia listing brings it forward to sometime in 2016. If this turns true, the “Final Fantasy 7 remake” release will happen soon by next year, first for PS4, with Xbox One to follow.
