WWE pay-per-view event has been missing in action for more than a month - from the closing of May to the start of June when only three separate events took place over the span of four weeks.

After a five-week absence of the event, WWE will be having Battleground on Sunday July 19, Fansided reported.

Perhaps the most significant match to look out for the Battleground 2015 will be the return of Brock Lesnar. The event will be the first pay-per-view since WrestleMania 31 in which the Beast will participate, and it will be the second activity since WrestleMania heralded only by the Beast in The East in Japan a couple of weeks ago.

Besides Brock Lesnar, WWE fans will have an opportunity to enjoy the rubber match between John Cena and Kevin Owens at Battleground, apparently with the US Championship on the line. The two megastars battled off at both the Elimination Chamber in favor of Owens and Money in The Bank in favor of Cena.

The Sunday 19 matches will as well involve defending of the WWE Tag Team Championship. The Intercontinental Championship was also on the line for defense in a triple threat involving Ryback, The Miz, and Big Show, Bleacher Report revealed.

Meanwhile, there have been rumors for weeks concerning a major event between Lesnar and Rollins about a big comeback of a WWE superstar. In addition, there are rumors of Triple H taking on Rollins at Summerslam - raising curiosity as to whether there will be some involvement between Triple H and Rollins at some point during Battleground to help establish the upcoming program.

Although there are big names, defense titles, and many critical matches during the Battleground event, the possible shifts and huge storylines emerging from the pay-per-view and impending Summerslam draw much attention from WWE fans globally.
