With David Ayer's "Suicide Squad" and Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" coming to theaters next year, it has been reported that fans are more excited to see DC's villain film in the big screen more than its superhero team.

As seen in Warner Bros. Pictures' official YouTube page, while "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" surfaced online two days prior to "Suicide Squad's" footage, Ayer's film clip has been looked at considerably more. "Suicide Squad's" Comic-Con trailer has reached more than 36 million views, which is greater than "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," which has got 35 million views.

According to Cinema Blend, the rivalry between the two upcoming films gives an advantage for DC and Warner Bros. Pictures, as both films are being highly anticipated by the fans. The publication also mentioned that fans have also gained benefit with the trailers as they have given a glimpse on how the story and the characters in the comic book will be seen in the big screen.

"Suicide Squad" may have overrun "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, since the "Suicide Squad" leak may have lured fans to check the film prior to its release to the internet on July 13, as per Comic Book. However, the numbers are a bit lower than the trailers of Joss Whedon's "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens," which got 50 million views in their first weeks.

While Ayer's "Suicide Squad" and Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be seen by comic book readers and moviegoers in separate films. It is also assumed that both teams will share the big screen sometime in the future.

Ayer's "Suicide Squad" is set to premiere in theaters on Aug. 5, 2016 while Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is slated to premiere in theaters on Mar. 25, 2016. Watch "Suicide Squad's" trailer here:
