The anticipation for the Google Nexus 2015 release date has already started but truth to be told, nothing really is definite about the device. The details known so far are classified as rumors, including the reports that two devices – LG Nexus Bullhead and Huawei Nexus Angler – are in the works.

Based on the leaked information so far, mostly unconfirmed, the Nexus 2015 handsets from LG and Huawei are worth the wait, which likely will last well into the holiday season this year. But for the impatient, there are solid reasons to skip Google's upcoming signature phone namely the Galaxy Note 5 from Samsung, the Moto X Sport that Motorola is said to introduce on July 28 and last year's Nexus 6, also from Motorola.

5th-gen Samsung phablet

Samsung will soon deliver its fifth instalment of the original phablet that likely will be called the Galaxy Note 5. As expected, its maker is touting the Note 5 as the best in the series and one solid clue on how pretty the device will be is it's said to be patterned after the Galaxy S6. Now the S6, with little argument, is the most beautiful handset to ever come out as it stunned by melding metal and curved glass (in the case of the Galaxy S6 Edge) that made it downright gorgeous.

And the S6 is both a beauty and a beast, which Samsung will sustain with the Galaxy Note 5. The package is believed to be headlined by a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, an 8-core Exynos chip that will work in tandem with 4GB of RAM and a camera system that will boast of 16MP main shooter with all the killer functionalities like optical image stabilization. Bonus is the trademark S Pen stylus that likely will vastly improve from the last iteration.

It is said the Note 5 will unveil via the IFA 2015 in Berlin at the start of September this year but Samsung is reportedly inclined to release the flagship phablet ahead of schedule, likely by middle of August. The reason: Samsung plans to pre-empt its potential rivals and that would chiefly be the iPhone 6S Plus and the Nexus 2015.

Moto X 2015

Motorola is rumored to unleash the Moto X 2015 soon and many are convinced that the refresh this year will be served in two flavors - the regular and a bigger sibling that likely will sport a 5.5-inch screen profile. Being floated as possible names for the handset are the Moto XL, which as the name implies is an upsized version, and Moto X Sport, which suggests of rugged build and capabilities like water and shock proofing.

The best part is Motorola will hold an event on July 28 and if the Moto X Sport or Moto XL is among the devices that will be introduced then it could mean that actual release date is set to happen in the few weeks or even days to follow. And that would be way ahead of any of the Nexus 2015 models, which are pegged to come out either in October or November this year.

Nexus 6

By all accounts, the Motorola-made Nexus 6 is the most premium among the Nexus smartphones that came out to date. But the device was reportedly bogged down by two key complaints - its near 6-inch screen profile and high price tag starting at $650.

The first issue, experts would say, is a matter of preference. Some would want jumbo-sized screen while others would prefer it not too big. For the first kind, the Nexus 6 is just the right mix with its stretched real estate that offer more viewing space and better touchscreen navigation.

As for the pricey tag, Google's recent discount offers brought down the Nexus 6 basic price to $500 and the likelihood is the device will only get cheaper in the months to come and should hit rock bottom in the immediate aftermath of the Google Nexus 2015 release date.
