According to She Knows, Bellisario's parents are both renowned producers in Hollywood. This has led fans to speculate that the actress only landed a role on "Pretty Little Liars" because of this. However, there are reports that Bellisario actually went through auditions before she landed a role in the series.
Other than her role on "Pretty Little Liars," the actress previously starred on "Quantum Leap." She is currently working on an independent film entitled "Sister Cities," where she will play the role of Baltimore. The film will be about four sisters, Bellisario, Stana Katic, Jess Weixler and Michelle Trachtenberg, who will come together after their mother commits suicide, according to Variety.
Meanwhile, another interesting fact about Bellisario is her fondness for aerial yoga and acrobatics. The actress has been posting photos of herself hanging on air every now and then on her Instagram account.
In other news, Bellisario is known for playing the role of a smart girl named Spencer. In real life, the actress also made it a point to finish her studies before accepting major roles on television and in film. Bellisario graduated from the University of Southern California in 2009, just before "Pretty Little Liars" aired on ABC Family.
