Dean Ambrose started the show with a promo which quickly turned to a match between him and The Celtic Warrior, Sheamus. The fight went on until Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper appeared on the screen which distracted Ambrose, giving Sheamus the upper hand for a Brogue Kick and beating the Lunatic Fringe, noted Wrestle Zone

Neville also defeated Adam Rose in a quick match, following a face off with Stardust.

King Barrett also made an appearance in the ring, making strong statements about how he is the "true King of WWE," the site noted.

After being defeated by John Cena at WWE Battleground, Kevin Owens made an appearance at Smackdown facing Rusev. The Bulgarian Brute, with the help of Summer Rae, beat Owens by count out.

Owens headed for the backstage where he interrupted an interview of Cesaro. The two exchanged heated words, and "Cesaro mocked Owens for constantly walking out of his matches," Wrestle Zone wrote.

That wasn't the end for Cesaro and Owens during the night though. After the Bella Twins defeated Team BAD's Sasha banks and Naomi, Seth Rollins beat Cesaro with his Pedigree, Wrestling Inc noted. Owens then returned to the ring to get vengeance against Cesaro, hitting him with a pop-up powerbomb to end the show.

This WWE Smackdown episode will air on Thursday, 8/7 central on SyFy.
