"Hannibal" Season 3 will see a major time-jump in Episode 8 depicting the events that occur when Dr. Hannibal Lecter is in custody at the Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane. The upcoming segment is titled "The Great Red Dragon" and is expected to introduce a new story arc as NBC's psychological thriller gets close to its finale. In Episode 7, Lecter surrendered and Chiyoh left Wolf Trap. According to Ecumenical News, Episode 8 features a three-year time jump and introduces the highly anticipated story arc based on Thomas Harris' novel "Red Dragon."

Jack Crawford will get involved in the investigation of new serial killer Francis Dolarhyde, who is also known as "The Tooth Fairy." The psychopath is known for hunting down entire families. In an attempt to catch the serial killer, Crawford approaches Will Graham, a brilliant profiler and investigator.
