Penguin Random House recently unveiled a new short book by James Franco and The New York Times best-selling author David Shields titled "Flip-Side: Real and Imaginary Conversations with  Lana del Rey" that is set to be released on Mar. 15, 2016.

The publishing house revealed on their website that Franco penned a 100-page book about his friend, Del Rey. The actor-writer-artist co-authored the book with best-selling novelist Shields, who previously worked with Franco to write for the film adaptation of "I Think You're Totally Wrong: A Quarrel."

However, according to People, this is not the first time for "127 Hours" actor Franco to write something about Del Rey. In V Magazine, Franco wrote a "poetic ode" to her with a conclusion that he is eager to interview his good friend for a book.

The actress reportedly agreed for Franco to write the book and even said that it would be better if the actor-writer would plainly interview her, but she cautioned the actor not to use her own words. She said she will be satisfied if Franco will not get her exact thoughts, but she encouraged him to try.

Although the actor-writer-artist keeps on saying that Del Ray is just her friend, fans are raising their eyebrows and doubting whether the two are secretly in a relationship or not. According to Inquisitr, the actors are silent as to the current status of their relationships and they did not have any social media interactions.

However, on July 14, Franco posted an Instagram picture of him and Del Rey that added fire to the fans "hot" rumors that the two is indeed in a secret romance. The actor-writer captioned the sweet picture of him and Del Rey and there he called the latter "my homegirl." Now, fans are more eager to confirm whether the two are dating or not.

Meanwhile, E! News noted that Franco called Del Ray as "my friend" in a magazine tribute. Nevertheless, the actor did not hold back his appreciation for his friend when he said that Del Ray reminded him of everything he loves about Los Angeles. He further said that the only thing he does not have is Del Rey's "haunting voice." According to Franco, his friend's voice is the "central axle around which the spokes of everything else extend."

"Flip-Side" is not the first book for Franco since he also wrote other novels like "Actors Anonymous," "Palo Alto," and "Hollywood Dreaming."
