The Snapdragon 810 chipset has been heavily criticized for its overheating problems. However, recent reports suggest that all the forthcoming smartphones will feature version 2.1 Snapdragon 810 that is said to be an enhanced variant of the original chip that is free overheating issues.

The Sony Xperia Z5 is expected to feature full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact will be coming HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The handsets will be shipped with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Since Sony is pegged to release Android M for several Xperia Z series smartphones, the Xperia Z5 and the Xperia Z5 Compact are likely to receive Android M update when it arrives.

Both the handsets will be featuring 32 GB of native storage. It indicates that the Xperia Z5 and the Xperia Z5 Compact will be premium devices, WinFuture.de reported

As far as the design of both the handsets is concerned, the publication claims that they will be sporting the Omnibalance design that the Japanese company has used for its previous Xperia Z series flagships.

Rumors claim that Sony will be present at the upcoming IFA 2015 tradeshow in September at Berlin, Germany. However, reports claim that the Xperia Z5 and the Xperia Z5 Compact will be released in the middle of August 2015.
