“Dance Moms” star Kira Girard is expecting her first child with fiancé David Newman. Kalani Hilliker’s mom made the announcement in the most recent episode of the Lifetime series following her daughter’s return to the show.
According to IB Times, Girard first announced her pregnancy at the promo video for the upcoming episode of "Dance Moms." The reality star shared that she is already six months pregnant and is expecting to give birth to a baby boy this fall.
Girard's co-stars were definitely happy with the announcement. Some, however, were wondering why it took her so long to share the good news. The reality star explained that she experienced several complications and wanted to make sure that the baby is safe before she told everyone. She shared that she has been in and out of the hospital and was constantly worried of the baby's health.
The "Dance Moms" star also pointed out that she did not want her daughter Hilliker to lose focus in the coming competitions. She said that she wanted her daughter to give it her all following her recent disagreement with ALDC coach Abby Lee Miller.
Girard has two children, Kalani and Jax, in her previous relationship. The news of the pregnancy reportedly came a month after she got engaged with Newman.
According to Get Real, Newman proposed to Girard during the taping of a season 5 reunion episode of "Dance Moms" in Los Angeles. The couple has yet to reveal their plans for the wedding but given Girard's delicate condition, insiders said that their main priority is the safe delivery of their child.
