Parents traveling with kids are used to this question often asked by the "impatient" tykes - "Are we there yet?"

Patient adult would usually fib a bit and say "We're almost there" or "Soon, honey." If the kid repeats the same question a few more times, impatience may come in and the mother or father could snap out with a "Shut up" or give the kids a mean stare to keep them at bay until the family reaches its destination.

With the advent of Google Maps, parents could instead leave the replying to the app - when on navigation mode - which on first ask would give an estimate in hours and minutes. However, on second and third tries, Google Maps would just reply with a curt, "No," reports Mirror.

On the fourth ask, it gives a response similar to what a stressed parent would say, which is: "If you ask me again, we won't stop for ice cream."

Replies like those, called Easter Eggs, which Google built in into its websites to surprise the users. However, like the traditional Easter Egg hunt that kids have to do on Easter Sunday, they have to search for it, or in tech jargon, "crack the code."

Android Police recommends downloading Google Maps v9.12 to hear that "No ice cream" response from Google Maps, the latest Easter Egg of the technology giant. Greenbot notes that the voice navigation that Google uses is "a lot more calmer than most parents are when hearing that question for the fourth time."

Given that technology has taken over kids and love for tablets and smartphone may have overtaken their love for ice cream, perhaps Google Maps could also reply instead, "No tablet or smartphone use for one day, if you ask that question again."
