Meanwhile, after Downey Jr's controversy, it was recently confirmed that "Iron Man 4" will push through. "Iron Man 3" director Shane Black also confirmed that Downey Jr. will reprise his role, contrary to reports that actor Ty Simpkins will become the new Tony or Iron Man, according to Cinema Blend.

In other news, Downey Jr. previously spoke with Empire Magazine about "Iron Man 4" and the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War." According to him, the latter will focus on Steve's story and not so much on Tony.
