French actor Lionel Lingelser will play the legendary King Louis XV, in the second season of the TV series "Outlander." Lingelser is just one of the French actors in the new season as the story of the show now shifts focus to France from the original setting in Scotland.

The season's version of the king will be extremely charismatic and one who can get everything that he wants, including the lady that catches his fancy, Carter Matt reported. It even added that the King can be dismissive and ruthless when things don't go his way.

Lingelser's role will recur throughout the show's second season, so this only means that he may get caught in the lives of the characters Claire and Jamie played by actors Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan, respectively.

Balfe said that the upcoming season will be a very challenging one, at least for her, who is cast as the series' protagonist nurse Claire Beauchamp Randall. In the previous season, it was revealed that she was carrying Jamie Mackenzi Fraser's child. This season, she has to face her husband Frank Randall and all discoveries about her parent's death.

The filming for the new season is underway and the new French setting welcomes new actors into the show.  Dominique Pinon (Master Raymond), Romann Berrux (Fergus), Andrew Gower (Bonnie Prince Charlie), and Claire Sermonne (Louise de Rohan) will be some of those joining this season, Yareah Magazine announced.

The series is scheduled to air new episodes by spring.  "Outlander" season 2 story will be based mostly on the second part of Diana Gabaldon's series' "Dragonfly in Amber."
