Capcom posted an apologetic statement on its community website saying, "Capcom offers its sincerest apologies to everyone who participated in this first beta test. While the purpose of a beta is to work out these type of issues, it was very clear that the issues we faced were more severe than we prepared for."

The company confirmed that it will release at least three more full beta tests prior to the game's official release. Players who were not able to use their pre-order incentive will be able to use it prior to the game's official launch, Capcom added.

Due to excessive traffic, Capcom was forced to close its servers for players in the Asian and European region to which the company promised will receive proper compensation in order to cover the inconvenience. Capcom did not provide the exact details regarding the promised incentive.

The "Street Fighter V" beta was opened on July 26 only to be taken down just after it was officially launched, according to IGN. Recently, a new character was added at the EVO 2015 event which brings the total playable roster of characters to eight.

"Street Fighter V" is expected to be released within the second quarter of 2016.
