If it is any indicator, the number of tweets that MMA fighter Ronda Rousey before her fight with undefeated Brazilian fighter Bethe Correia is a confirmation that UFC 190 is the biggest female mixed martial arts fighter. She proved them right by knocking out Bethe on Saturday in 34 seconds.
Producers of a porn parody of Rousey are hoping to cash in as well on the MMA fighter's popularity. The New York Post reports that actress Kleio Valentien will play the title role in the triple XXX movie titled "Ronda ArouseMe." According to TMZ, the director of the movie is Joanna Angel, herself a porn legend.
Valentien is best remembered for her nomination at the AVN Awaaard for 2015's Best 3-Way for the scene in "Captain America XXX: An Axel Braun Parody."
Angel, an acknowledged fan of Ronda and who sees the porn flick as her ultimate tribute to the UFC star, starred before in adult films such as "F**kenstein," :Grand Theft Anal 10," and "Rock & Roll In My Buttfole."
Celebrities who have tweeted their support for Ronda include "Rambo" actor Sylvester Stallone who said that Rousey is the Greatest Champion of this era, while Goran Dragic describes Ronda as "The most dangerous woman on planet."
Aaron Rodgers considers watching Ronda dominate the fight in Rio de Janeiro a "great end to a long day of camp." Justin Verlander foresees a short match, which Chris Weidman tweeted would be another first round finish for Ronda.
It is Ronda's sixth time to defend her UFC women's bantamweight title in the Brazilian city. Correia said she hopes that Ronda would not commit suicide if she loses, a reference to how Rousey's father ended his life when she was still a young girl.
In response to her opponent's comment, Rousey said, "I think everything up until the suicide comment could have been understandable from a marketing point of view ... But when she said that, it really crossed the line and became truly personal for me," Daily Mail quotes Ronda.
Contrary to forecasts, it would not be a short fight because Ronda wants to punish Correia for the suicide comment. But she demolished her opponent easily and improved her record to 12-0 while dealing Bethe her first defeat. But it was 20 seconds short of her record 14 seconds bout versus Cat Zingano.
