"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 will feature the reunion of Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons).
In season 8, Amy ended her relationship with Sheldon after realizing that the latter might be not be as serious with her as she is with him. However, it seems that Sheldon had different intentions altogether.
During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Steve Molaro hinted on a possible reunion between the two. According to him, Amy is very fond of Sheldon so it is highly likely that she will say yes to him again. However, Amy will no longer be convinced by Sheldon's "Spider-Man" inspired quotes so he would have to step up his game.
Meanwhile, fans are also curious as to what will happen to Penny (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) in season 9. Last season, the couple was on their way to Las Vegas when Leonard dropped a major bombshell that almost ended their relationship.
According to TV Line, in season 9, Penny and Leonard will still be close to tying the knot. However, whether or not they will actually wed is what fans need to watch out for. Fans will also see a continuation of Penny and Leonard's trip to Las Vegas because season 9 will open just a few hours after the last scene from season 8.
"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 fans should also watch out for Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette's (Melissa Rauch) storyline, as well as that of Raj (Kunal Nayyar). The series will premiere on CBS on Sept. 21.
