Android fans appear to be convinced that Google will resurrect the beloved Nexus 5 of 2013 as part of its Nexus 2015 release date plans. As expected, the LG-made device will be reimagined and upgraded and the stunning result of which is contained in a new concept video.

Rumors are aplenty when it comes to the Nexus 5 2015 and what have been said so far, though largely confirmed, inspired gadget designer Jermaine Smit to meld everything into one gorgeous toy, according to French-based blog site NowhereElse.fr. The result is a YouTube clip that Android fans fervently hope is the new Nexus 5 when unboxed.

In the process, Smit's wonderful creation further fired up the clamor for the Google Nexus 2015 wishlist features - eight of which are detailed below:

Premium, sexy and solid Nexus

Premium is written all over the Smit video and the 2015 Nexus he depicted is laced with premium build and design. It is all sexed up at the same time as the front panel boasts of a virtual all-screen render with the left and right bezels hardly noticeable.

The slim and light Smit concept did not mention anything on build material but one could only hope that metal and glass will be used for the premium design to fully play out.

5.2-inch Quantum HD display

The LG Nexus in Smit's mind has a 5.2-inch screen that makes use of Quantum HD display technology than can easily beam out in 1080p resolution. With the specs, the Nexus 5 2015 is surely able to stand side by side with the iPhone 6S and the Galaxy Note 5 or Galaxy S6, both from Samsung.

Monster engine

The beast that the Snapdragon 820 is remains unconfirmed for any of the Nexus 2015 models - one would come from LG and the other from Huawei - but the new concept seems pretty sure that this will be found under the hood. This likely is the same hulk that scored over 85,000 points in a recent AnTuTu benchmark testing, easily besting the 8-core Exynos engine that Samsung used with the Galaxy S6.

It is likely that that 4GB of RAM will be on board to complement the raw power packed by the Qualcomm processing chip.

Killer camera system and features

Before the imagined Nexus 5 2015 by Smit surfaced, a purported shell of the case surfaced that dropped clues on the back cover features of the device. The concept author picked up there and visualized the two holes as dual lens for the next Nexus, thus giving it killer camera features such top-notch image and video production with probable 3D capabilities.

The shooting assembly also consists of a 16MP main cam and 5MP on front, which is a package that technically will easily overwhelm most of the Nexus 2015 competition.

128GB built-in storage

Smit proposed that the Nexus 5 2015 internal memory starts at 32GB if the Google tradition of withholding expandable memory with its flagship will remain. Hopefully the Nexus maker would oblige and pick up as well the Smit render that also lists a 128GB model. Now who needs a microSD slot if 128GB of storage space is readily available with the upcoming Nexus flagship?

Fingerprint reader on the rear

The leaked case mentioned above also showcased a square hole that seated on the right side of the top camera lens. Smit decided that the same opening is a fingerprint reader, which is an assumption supported by two confirmed facts.

One is that Android M, per Google, will natively support biometric features and a fingerprint sensor will surely come to the Nexus 2015. Another thing is that the Nexus flagship is without a front home button, which explains the rear-located fingerprint reader.

Battery upgrade

The Nexus 5 2015, according to the Smit video, is on a 2860mAh battery that is not exactly a massive bump on the battery department but with the powerful Doze battery management app, which forces idle applications into deep sleep, longer operating hours for the handset seems assured.

Solid sticker price

Smit did not touch on pricing matters for the next Nexus and Google remains mum on the subject. But considering the debacle of the pricey Motorola Nexus 6 last year, duplicating it should be farthest from Google's mind. The sweet spot should be no more than $400 considering that the Moto X 2015, which runs on near-stock Android that makes it a direct rival of the Google Nexus 2015 on release date, retail price starts at $399.
