‘Coyote Ugly’ Remake: ‘ANTM’ Cycle 22 Host Tyra Banks’ Role For Yaya DaCosta?

Among the five ladies in the poster of the 2000 box-office hit "Coyote Ugly," "America's Next Top Model" cycle 22 host and judge Tyra Banks, 41, appears to be the most successful and it will be interesting to see her reunite with Piper Perabo, 38, Maria Bello, 48, Izabello Miko,34, and Bridget Moynahan, 44, in a "Coyote Ugly" remake.

Apparently, a lot has changed in terms of technology and show business after a decade and a half since the David McNally film. Among the things expected from a "Coyote Ugly" remake is the inclusion of social media and reality shows that help launch the careers of aspiring artists.

Here are the actresses who best fit the roles originally played by Banks, Perabo, Bello, Miko and Moynahan:

Yaya DaCosta as Zoe (Banks)

While Banks was 26 when she starred in "Coyote Ugly" and DaCosta is currently 32, the role played by the "ANTM" creator will be best played by her protégé. In fact, the "ANTM" cycle 3 runner-up became known as an actress having played the late Whitney Houston in a biopic instead of pursuing a modelling career.

Selena Gomez as Violet Sanford (Piper Perabo)

Perabo was 23 when she played the aspiring singer and songwriter character in "Coyote Ugly." This role fits the 23-year-old pop star, who famously had a relationship with Justin Bieber.

Sophia Bush as Lil Lovell (Bello)

Bello was 33 when she played the owner of the bar named Coyote Ugly in the box-office dramatic comedy. Recently known for her "Law & Order" and "Chicago P.D." roles, Bush, 33, will be excellent in this role.

Kendall Jenner as Cammie (Miko)

Miko was only 19 when played Cammie, one of the one of the three girls working in the bar named Coyote Ugly. It will be interesting to see the 19-year-old model daughter of Caitlyn Jenner take on this role.

Amanda Bynes as Rachel (Moynahan)

It will be nice to see Bynes make a comeback with a "Coyote Ugly" remake role as Rachel, one of the three Coyote Ugly bar girls along with the characters played by Banks and Miko. The 29-year-old actress recently made a surprise appearance at the launch of fashion designer Michael Costello's pre-fall capsule collection, People reported. Moynahan was also 29 when she played Rachel.

Meanwhile, a "Coyote Ugly" remake will have to look for a new bar since the famed Manhattan dive bar where the 2000 film was shot is set to close on Aug. 23, NBC New York reported.
