Google could be pushing for the Nexus 2015 release date to happen real soon as tons of details about the device - said to come in two models made by LG and Huawei - leaked anew that practically revealed everything to know on the vanilla Android flagship.
In a report, Gizmo China boldly claimed that one of the upcoming Nexus handsets is taking a page from the Nexus 5 in 2013, meaning the device will come LG and the specifications are largely upgrades from the most successful Nexus phone to date. The 5.2-inch LG Nexus 5 2015 will boast of a Full HD P-OLED display in 1080p resolution, a Snapdragon 620 processing chip with 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 64GB of basic internal memory.
The same kit will house a camera combo of 13MP on rear and 4MP on front with the latter laced with sensor for iris detection. The main shooter also comes baked in with MX278 sensor, 6-element f/1.8 aperture lens, optical image stabilization (OIS), laser autofocus and dual-tone LED flash, the report added.
The battery pack is 3180mAh and will benefit from quick recharging thanks to the inclusion of USB Type-C port with Quick Charge 2.0 technology. It is understood that this is the mid-range Nexus that will cost consumers no more than $350.
And as rumored, there will be a Huawei Nexus that in a new report from G4Games will slide out of the box bearing a 5.7-inch WQHD AMOLED panel. What is interesting is this phablet-size pure Android will mark the return of Samsung to the Nexus supply chain as it is claimed that the South Korean tech giant will supply the front panel tech to Huawei.
This is so as the same report indicated that the Chinese firm has started receiving phone panel deliveries from Samsung and it was suggested the shipments will rise in the months to come. Now, this hints that Huawei is preparing for a big move soon though no confirmation from the company has been provided.
And the LG Nexus is the subject too of a separate report that says fingerprint on the Nexus 5 2015 is all but confirmed. LG it sees will introduce the feature on the smaller Nexus in preparation for the same to be on board with the LG G5, purported as the first LG flagship to rollout in 2016.
As for the pricing concerns, the Gizmo China report provided a range of between $300 and $400 for the upcoming native Android phones. It could be that the LG variant will be priced lower as its Huawei counterpart sports the more high-end specifications.
Yet by default, both will feature Android M that likely Google will unleash in September. It is believed that the plan is for the Nexus 2015 release date to happen together with the new Android debut, which is earlier than the usual release cycle followed previously by Google.
