Although it has been a while since the refresh of Apple's iPod Touch, the current sixth generation gives enough reasons for enthusiasts to upgrade from iPod Touch fifth generation.

The design for the new iPod Touch is similar to its predecessor, but the company has made changes in terms of color variations, 9To5Macreported. iPod Touch generation six comes in Gold, Space Cray, Silver, Product Red, Blue, and Pink to give customers diversity in taste.

However, there are new features that take the iPod touch sixth generation a notch higher than its precursor. The device was shipped with iOS 8.4 with inbuilt Apple Music.

The company has improved the quality of the camera since the device comes with an iSight 8MP camera sensor having an f2.4 aperture comparable to the one on iPhone 5S. The camera is better than that of previous iPod touch that was only 5MP. The sixth generation camera can shoot up to 120 frames per second slow motion videos at 720p.

The new iPod sports a Bluetooth 4.1, has a 64-bit A8 processor, and M8 motion co-processor. In terms of performance, the iPod Touch sixth generation is at the same level with iPhone 6, which is far much better than the fifth generation iPod touch.

According to Trusted Reviews, the new gadget is equipped with 1GB RAM that allows the user to do more as compared to the previous model. Previously, iPod Touch came with 32GB and 64GB storage, but the company has changed to include 16GB and 128GB storage capacity.
