The 2015-2016 English Premier League continues as Aston Villa hosts season favorite Manchester United at the Villa Park in Birmingham on Friday, August 14.

The Villas turned back the challenge of the 2014-2015 Football League Championship winners, the newly-promoted AFC Bournemouth, on the road last Saturday, 1-0, to snatch their first win of the season right on opening day, via Fox Sports.

Many analysts have predicted the Cherries to score a statement win on opening day against a vastly undermanned Villans squad who just lost star striker Christian Benteke in a recent summer transfer to Liverpool FC. However, it was Tim Sherwood's boys that showed everyone they belong to the big league right at the onset of the new season.

While the Claret and Blue Army are content on not fighting for relegation by season's end, the powerhouse Red Devils will not be content unless it dislodges Chelsea at the top of the league next year.

Louis van Gaal's wards opened their "championship" stint rather shakily but was able to escape with a 1-0 win over the Tottenham Hotspur in the first game of the season, as per Bleacher Report.

United won via an own goal by Spurs defender Kyle Walker during the 21st minute. Both teams were feeling each other out in the early goings, but a simple mistake by Walker proved costly as they handed out the Devils a one goal lead that was not overcome.

The prediction is a 3-0 win by United over Villa. The Red Devils will just continue to improve after their lackluster opening game. Their newcomers Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin will slowly go into their offensive groove, which would be deadly scary later on in the season.
