South Wales giants Swansea City AFC are on their way to a tough encounter with the Tyne and Wear residents Newcastle United FC at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea on August 15 as the second week of the 2015-2016 Premier League moves forward.

Garry Monk's boys carried out a stunning 2-2 draw against the defending Premier League champions Chelsea FC during their opening game last Sunday right at the heart of the Blues' stadium in Stamford Bridge.

If not for Argentine defender Federico Fernández's own goal during the half hour mark the Swans would have pulled off a shocking upset over José Mourinho's squad, via Bleacher Report.

Chelsea's Radamel Falcao tried to score a late goal to steal a win despite being one-man down against Swansea, but his shot was easily defended by Jacks goalie Łukasz Fabiański.

Newcastle is coming off a 2-2 tie as well during their opener, this time with Hampshire bets Southampton FC at their home field of St. James' Park also on Sunday, as per Chronicle Live.

The Magpies earned the standoff thru goals from star forward Papiss Cissé and new acquisition Georginio Wijnaldum, who was still adjusting to his role in new coach Steve McClaren's system.

It was a decent showing for McClaren's men as the manager had only been with the team for exactly two months during the game.

Prediction: A 3-1 home victory by Swansea. The Swans are too tough to be beaten by a still attuning team like the Magpies. Expect captain Ashley Williams to lead his team on defense and maybe shut out Newcastle.
