As One Direction's contract with their manager Simon Cowell approaches its end, Cowell faced the media to confirm the Directioners' biggest fear, the band is taking time to rest following their latest album and tour. Meanwhile, Louis Walsh, a judge from "The X-Factor", the show where the band was born, offered his predictions on the band's future.

Harry Styles is the 1D member most likely to find success as a solo artist, said Walsh on "Music Week."

Apart from good looks and vocal prowess, Styles has the charm to keep the show going, with or without his team mates. Styles smoothly comes up with little things to make ovaries explode. He stopped a pregnant fan from walking out of their concert telling her he was not done yet. When Directioners started throwing lemons at him, he had fun kicking the fruits on stage, telling fans, "When life give you lemons, kick the lemons away."

Walsh also commended Styles for the latter's ambition and work ethic, which, according to Walsh, is as important as talent. While Styles is arguably not the best singer in the group, his charisma and drive can take him far as a singer and even as an actor. The young performer has a long illustrious career ahead of him, The Inquisitr reported.

Styles' decision to stick with the group much longer than Zayne Malik was also praised by Walsh, noting that fans will remember Styles' loyalty to the group and to the fans.

Is One Direction Disbanding?

While Malik has officially left the band and Louis Tomlinson has gotten his girlfriend pregnant, Cowell has not confirmed that band's disbandment. Instead, he said that the member's time apart will refresh them as they decide on their next steps in their career.

Cowell promised that he will respect the group's decision and back the boys no matter what, Fashion & Style reported.

Cowell also shared his advice to Tomlinson on his impending fatherhood, "I said to him, you, man up. You're fortunate because you're in a position to be able to look after the baby and not worry too much about that."
