"Frozen 2" director Chris Buck recently talked about the upcoming "Frozen" sequel and revealed what will be in store for sisters Anna and Elsa.

In an interview with MTV News, Buck said that he just started working with his co-director Jennifer Lee and they have been throwing ideas as to the actual storyline of "Frozen 2." Buck added that he feels very strongly about one plot and is so excited to focus on it for the sequel.

Meanwhile, Buck hinted on possible storylines for "Frozen 2" that were inspired by the seven-minute short film "Frozen Fever" that aired ahead of "Cinderella" a few months ago.

According to him, they were thinking of how Elsa could pay back her sister Anna for all the times she missed her birthday. This is why even if she was sick, she did everything in her power to make sure she will be there on her sister's special day.

Buck said that he was pleased that Elsa's characterization in the seven-minute short film was much lighter than in "Frozen." The director that they will have more fun in portraying Elsa in "Frozen 2."

In other news, some other issues will be given emphasis in "Frozen 2." According to The Mary Sue, Buck said that he and Lee and planning on interjecting some social commentaries in the upcoming sequel since their lead stars are both female. Buck said that "Frozen 2" will tackle issues that people face on a daily basis.

"Frozen 2" is slated to hit theaters in the United States sometime in 2018.
